Almer Charter Township is a charter township of Tuscola County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,101 at the 2010 census. It is the only charter township in the Thumb region of Michigan. == Communities ==
* The city of Caro, which is also the county seat of Tuscola County, is to the south, mostly surrounded by Indianfields Township, although the city has also incorporated some land from southern Almer Charter Township. Caro was a village until becoming a city in 2009.
